Today is my birthday and I have a lot of thoughts.

Ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together for the brilliant title this blog post has! How creative! How inspired! Did I tell you I get paid to write?

Anywhoo. Today is my birthday. And yes, it’s Halloween. I’ve been told it’s very fitting that I was born on this day. *flips hair*

The big old 23.

So, I’m 23 now. I’ve been told this is where the human creature starts acting like a mature, responsible individual. Do I feel like an adult, though?

However, I feel like I’ve made some strides with respect to not feeling like shit. This time last year, I was cribbing about how I had done nothing I was proud of. I feel like this was the year I got my shit together. Kind of. A little. Just a smidge…?

Umm, what exactly did you do?

1. The blog is doing really well. I have around 850 followers now. 850-ish human people follow this shizz.

2. I was nominated for the Indian Blogger Awards. Yeah, like my ego needs any more boosting.

3. I created a Twitter account and a Facebook page for my blog.

4. Most of all, I’ve made some excellent Internet friends from different corners of the world, all thanks to blogging!

Who knew blogging would help me find support from as close to home as India and as far away as Lithuania? I’m really thankful for you guys, because it’s your constant support and comments that make me keep writing. ❀

JK, I don’t hug people. *brushes person off*

It’s been one hell of a year and most of the fun was blogging-related. I hope I never stop blogging, because this little thing that I started because I was bored has become one of the most important things in my life.

  2. Have a very Happy Birthday, Shruti:). You’ve clearly had a fabulous blogging year and I hope the coming year is just as successful in all aspects of your life. As for feeling mature and adult – it took me a very long time before I felt properly ‘grown up’ and I know now that I’m supposed to start feeling a bit elderly – and I simply don’t…
