About

Hi there!

Welcome to my little corner in the cyberspace!

I’m Shruti Ramanujam, a book nerd from India. I work in content marketing and spend all my free time reading. My favorite genres include crime, thriller, suspense, and dystopian fiction.

I religiously read the Harry Potter series at least once a year. Reading Harry Potter, to me, is like coming home after a long trip. For I know Hogwarts will always be there to welcome me home. (I’m not crying, YOU ARE!)

I’m a mad hoarder of quotes. I save up any beautiful set of sentences that speak to me. My most favorite quote is:

“Once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.”

–Leonardo da Vinci

I am not a particular fan of movies. There are very few movies that I like. I am also a strong supporter of “The book was better than the movie”. If you say otherwise, I will shut said book and hit you over the head repeatedly with it.

I do like TV shows. Binge watching TV shows is a way of life and I have to say, I’m pretty good at it. My favorite shows are Arrested Development, 30 Rock, and Lost. It is not a TV show until you’ve binge-watched the hell out of it and you are left staring at your blank laptop screen, covered in snack dust, and questioning your poor life choices.

I do not believe in organized religion but I will definitely join a cult if it was convened by Tina Fey, Oprah, or Ellen.

Phew. That’s enough oversharing for the day. I have several book reviews and other bookish posts on my blog. Do check them out! 🙂
